iPharro is a spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (FhG/IGD) in Darmstadt, Germany. iPharro’s MediaSeeker technology is a platform for the fully automated analysis of any TV/video stream channel for the transmission of a variety of material (advertising, motion pictures, news, etc.). The MediaSeeker technology compares video clips with video streams in multiples of real time in order to detect if the particular video clip appears somehow within the video stream. The comparison approach can be used for copyright infringement detection, video archive categorization, media research for the advertising industry, and by news agencies.
